I was in the Paul Smith store today and
instead of the signature colored-stripes shopping bag, I get this:
(insert bla xmas bag-ugh). I ask the sales assoc why and he says they
want to move away from the signature stripes. Why, Paul, why?? I love
them. They ARE the Paul Smith identity. If this means
anything to you, share it. Re-post it. Whatever. And tell Paul himself, to keep the stripes alive! I
did.

Not your grandmother's get-up
Hey, who said I was only going to post guys on this blog??? "Drool" doesn't follow any "rools" ;)
I love this older woman's combination of colors and textures. Eggplant leather driving gloves. Amber leather watch peeking out of stone green and maroon plaid coat. There goes that paisley pashmina again. The brick red gives a nice splash of color to the earthy tones. And she tops it off (no pun intended) with a crown-style knit beret. I made up the "crown-style"part. I don't knit and have no idea what the stitches are called, but it sounds good, doesn't it?
Anyone who knows what this particular beret is called, please comment!
Oh yeah, and her bespeckled frames are transparent yellow!
Rockin it old-school.

You've got me in (red) stitches
David says since these are one-of-a-kind, he takes them to the cobbler periodically for some TLC and patching up. "Because once they go," he says, "they're gone forever."
Welcome to my new blog...
...featuring covert snapshots of men rocking their very personal (and tasteful) fashion statements.
After I started "trainspotting" these men, I thought, why not share my finds with others...so that they might draw inspiration from their fellow man and the way in which he puts his wares together. And, of course, for women to drool over the way their fellow man puts his wares together.
This is only the beginning...

Another paisley scarf sighting! Both men have loop-tied it. Cognac suede vest (!) and matching leather gloves peeking out of pocket. Navy sweater and light blue shirt underneath. |
I am incredibly jealous of men's shoes!!! Rothman's on Park Ave and 18th Street. |
